Turntable & Ground Level Steaming Bays. The turntable is now complete and has been successfully lifted and turned with the Green Dragon Petrol Hydraulic Loco in position. The turntable has been connected to the track leading to the main ground level track circuit. Construction of a lattice girder to bridge from the turntable to the engine shed is complete with the engine shed now in operation. Diesel Hydraulic Co-Co Locomotive. Each of the two bogies will have its own hydraulic motor. All three axles on each bogey will be driven. The buffers will be located on the bogies not on the loco main frame. The body shape will be in the form of a Type 37 BR diesel. Disc brakes have been manufactured and have been fitted, cabling and handbrake lever still to be installed. A full load and speed test has been carried out successfully, with the loco easily climbing the gradient with a full load, including a hill start. Over centre valves have now been fitted to each bogie, some pipework modifications required.
